What’s the difference between a Class 1 and Class 2 licence in NSW?

A Class 2 licence lets someone act as an agent under supervision. A Class 1 licence is required to be the Licensee in Charge of a business and to operate a trust account, and generally requires holding a Class 2 licence for a minimum period first. If you’re dealing with an independent agency, the person running it should hold a Class 1.
